Product Review and Giveaway: The Tea Company

The Tea Company product review

Tea is a big deal here in the south. We usually like ours brewed up strong, drowning in sugar, and iced down. The “elixir of the south” is pretty simple stuff, and not normally known for intriguing and delicate flavors. The Tea Company all the way up in Canada offered some samples and the cutest little tea diffuser for my to try out and I have to say I’m in love with their delicious teas!

The Tea Company knows tea, y’all. From their site:

“When we say we’re passionate about tea, we mean it. We strive to find the best teas and offer exquisite blends to satisfy both tea lovers and those looking for a healthier alternative to other beverages.

Our teas are all natural, and most of them are certified organic. When you taste The Tea Company’s teas and tea blends, you know you’re not ingesting artificial flavors, which in our opinion defeat the purpose of drinking a healthy beverage.

Our loose leaf teas, since they’re fresh and have not been chemically processed, keep in average 95% more antioxidant properties than the traditional tea bag. Some teas can sit there for years because they’ve been chemically treated. Ours has a shelf life of a few months only, because they’re fresh. Don’t worry, when you order tea from us, it’s guaranteed to be fresh as we pack it when you order it. Our teas come in a re-sealable pouch to preserve its freshness. This also means The Tea Company’s teas taste better.”

As soon as I opened a pouch of their gorgeous loose-leaf Treat For Her tea I could see and smell rose petals, lavender, hibiscus, and more. I love the website description of this delightful tea: “There are times when a woman’s body needs a little extra pampering; a sweet escape into a blissful state.”

Extra pampering? Blissful state? Sign me up! So while my three teenagers slumped about in various states of apathy and disenchantment, my three-year-old rattled off question after question, my twins tag-teamed the total destruction of the living room, and my newborn grunted and squirmed I brewed up a cup of bliss.

This is not your standard nuke-a-tea-bag kind of tea. Each blend has specific directions how much to use and how long to steep. This is the real deal.

I just have to say this adorable Ribbit Floating Tea Infuser is just about the cutest tea accessory in the world.  And while it might seem more complicated to use loose-leaf tea, it’s actually pretty simple. Just fill the infuser with the appropriate amount of tea and allow it to steep according to the instructions on the bottom of the package.

Just look at this little guy with his Mona Lisa smile, almost like he’s saying “Take a deep breath, everything is going to be alright.” While I waited I cruised around on The Tea Company’s Facebook Page. It’s a fun page full of cute cartoons to brighten your day and some great deals on shipping and other promotions.

Five minutes later I had an absolutely perfect cup of tea. So flavorful! It was delicate and really delicious. I’m being completely honest when I say it was the best cup of tea I’ve ever tasted.

I am a tea person even make loose tea in my Mr. C. (do not even have coffee in the house) Always looking for a good new source.

Loose leaf tea is easy to use just choose an infusr that fits what you are brewing Sm for a cup large for a pot and the flavor is way better than tea bags bought already made. You can buy little envelopes that you put the loose tea in and again pick a size cup or pot they work similar to a tea bag with out an infuser.

I love tea, but I’ve never had loose-leaf simply because I don’t have one of those special brewers for them! I know they’re pretty cheap so I’ll have to invest in one :)

  16. Carolsue

Yes, I use loose leaf tea all the time!
